2008 Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Wow, this is a fantastic bottle, and a ridiculous value.  Costco had 100 cases of this piled up and they were selling them for $13 so I'll be stopping back for some more soon.  And it's another one that is highly rated - a 91 pointer from Wine Spectator - so please check out my series on 90+ point rated wines for under $20 for other bottles that fit the bill.  This one is among the least expensive of the group, but I rated it very high.

This wine just blows away almost any other Sauvignon Blanc that I can remember having in this price range.  Almost makes shopping the white aisle in the store a joke, as these other bottles can't live up to what this one offers. Just a perfect structure and balance.  Nose is grapefruit, lime, pear.  Nice flavor throughout.  Finish stands up strong. It's a bottle that knows exactly what it wants to be and then decides to be a bit more.

Highly enjoyable, and highly recommended.  I would drink this every week if I could, particularly in the summertime, as it's a perfect back porch companion.  Let me know what you think on this one.
