2008 White Haven Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

A strong, staple New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.  Bright, grassy, loads of pear and melon - all in a very easy drinking wine that I have already recommended to friends.  This is a choice summer bottle that I picked up at Costco for $14.99.  It's exactly what I'm looking for in a crisp summer wine.

It's becoming clear to me, what seems to already be apparent to so many, that New Zealand produces one heck of a good Sauvignon Blanc, and at incredibly reasonable prices.  This bottle reminded me of the Kim Crawford I reviewed a few months back and absolutely loved.  It just tastes alive and vibrant.  These are the perfect wines to bring to parties especially as summer comes in.
